Umbrella issue. packages/garage_ui/ is ~13k lines, owns the entire UI layer since shadcn_flutter was dropped in August 2026, has its own test suite, and is where most recent commits land - with no board presence at all.
Scope: theme and colour schemes, the density system, app shell, menus, panels, popovers, toasts, selects, text fields, colour input, context menus, properties rows and sections.
Worth knowing, since it is where the surprises live:
Density is the single source of hand-set numbers; every height and padding derives from it. test/density_derivation_test.dart is the characterisation baseline that enforces that, and it is deliberately strict.
ControlDensity is a two-way geometry switch (compact vs not), NOT a name for a product tier - AppDensity in settings_state.dart is the tier enum.
Icons size against the font, not the line box. That changed twice (lineBox, then 1.1x font, then font) and the reasoning is written down on Density.iconSize.
The package test suite lives at packages/garage_ui/test/, separate from the app's.
Use this for garage_ui work that does not warrant its own issue.
