Umbrella issue. lib/agent/ is ~4,700 lines and had no board presence at all until this one - the largest shipped subsystem in the project with nothing tracking it.
What exists today:
agent_controller.dart drives threads (agent_thread.dart, agent_thread_store.dart, compaction.dart) against openrouter_client.dart
the model reaches the scene through tools/ - object_tools, segment_tools, read_tools, script_tools, skill_tools, behind agent_tool_registry.dart
scene_serializer.dart and view_capture.dart are how the model sees the map
the API key lives server-side; the client never holds one and never sends a model field
15 test files cover threads, compaction, tools, attachments, undo-per-turn and token estimation
Use this instead of opening a new top-level issue for each agent change - comment here or spin off a sub-issue when something needs its own tracking. Same pattern as the Lua scripting tracking issue.
Known adjacent work already filed separately: the agent proxy has no metering or rate limiting.
